Redmond School Board

The Redmond School board has an interesting decision coming up when they pick who gets the contract for building the new Redmond High School. Will they cater to the school district and pick Skanska, or go with the longtime local contractor Kirby Nagelhout?

Normally, it wouldn't be that big of a deal to me, but in these times, it is. The School board should do the right thing and keep it local. Kirby Nagelhout should get the business, put locals to work, and keep supporting Central Oregonians and the local non-profits, etc. Kirby should also take 200K off their bid to match Skanska so the Redmond community doesn't lose dollars by keeping it local.

Redmond residents picked up the tab for the bond, and I want to keep jobs here.
